Dr Natalie Bryne - Clinical Psychology and EMDR Therapy

"I know what it is like to be in “that place”. Like many of us in the helping professions I became a helper because I know what it is like to experience trauma, loss and mental health difficulties. Because of this, and because of who I am, I eventually concluded that I’d like to train to become a psychologist. Three degrees and years of graft later, I eventually qualified as a Clinical Psychologist. And you know it was worth every, single, second. I now get the privilege of helping people every day. "

Natalie has experience of working within a wide range of populations including the following client groups; offenders with acute mental health difficulties (Complex Trauma, Psychosis, PTSD, Personality Disorder, Anxiety and Depression), adults with substance misuse, adults with mild to moderate mental health difficulties (OCD, Anxiety, Depression, Social Anxiety, Physical Health Conditions, Medically unexplained symptoms), adults with severe and enduing mental health difficulties (Personality Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Psychosis, Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures), adults with learning disabilities with behaviours that challenge and mental health difficulties (Self Harm, Physical and verbal aggression, Anxiety and Depression).

Therapies Offered

It is very common for people to feel unsure about whether they want to engage in therapy or even struggle to know if they really need to. I truly believe that if you look inside yourself and take a moment to reflect, you will have that answer within you. If you are considering therapy as a possibility, does that tell you that somehow you know that things could be better than they are right now? That you could be happier? Less irritable? More present? More peaceful? If the answer to any of these questions is yes then there is a good chance that having a therapeutic space to explore this may be beneficial to you.
